The hero of Heiko Michael Hartmann's DAS SCHWARZE EI is in the same position as many young people: university educated, with a good degree…and no job. Then a stroke of luck: he is summoned for a job interview at the offices of a political party! When he arrives, however, the sad truth comes to light – the secretary, herself only a temp, has polished his CV and enhanced his references. Now the young man has a job, based on qualifications he does not possess.
Work soon becomes a nightmare. Fear of being exposed as an impostor tortures the beginner, while careerist co-workers breathe down his neck. But then he meets a minister who takes a fancy to him...
