Her family was always short of money. As a child, she often wondered why some people were able to squander hundreds of euros on handbags, shoes and steak, while for others, a hundred euros was a small fortune. In the meantime, she herself has become one of the wasteful ones, spending 60 euros on a ski pass, 590,000 euros on a mediocre apartment or 748 euros on a wedding dress. But she still converts every sum into welfare payments.
