There are many things Lotto doesn’t like. Chores, boredom, and broccoli, for example. But she likes rockets, her grandmother, and fresh ideas – and with those she can survive even the most difficult days.

Brushing teeth-rules, bathing days, trash chores, and going to bed? Only adults can invent these things! Lotto has to come up with plenty of maneuvers to make her day an adventure: In the morning she launches white-green toothpaste arcs over the sink with her ingenious bristle catapult. That’s how brushing your teeth is fun! Or how about pouring milk in the bathtub to bathe like Cleopatra, only in a bubbling crater lake? And taking out the trash is only possible when Lotto imagines a mysterious mini-stag lives in the bin. Of course, she’s not telling anybody – adults just wouldn’t understand. Just as they don’t understand that she doesn’t like broccoli. She only eats it when she pictures herself as a rocket-boss in space. Because broccoli looks tiny from above.
