Good Night, Stars!

Good Night, Stars!

Anu Stohner

Little bears don't like to go to bed. Or at least they want to play a going-tosleep-game before bedtime. Just like children do.

Little Bear is always the fastest when it comes to running, hide-and-seek or climbing trees. Only at night, when he's supposed to go to bed, he suddenly becomes veeeery slow. Dinner takes ages, tooth-brushing even longer. And when he is finally in bed he is not prepared to go to sleep either. Sometimes a goodnight story will do. But sometimes it must be a going-to-sleep game, best of all the rhyming one. Which goes like this: Little Bear says goodnight to everybody – his friends, his stuffed toys, even the things in his room and all over the world. But everything has to rhyme: "Good night, cat!" – "Sleep well, rat!" That's an easy one. But sometimes, rhyming is quite hard: "Good night, dolly!" How to find a rhyme for that one? That's how the game goes and once you've played it for a while you get pretty tired …
