Everyone loves brave Charlotte, even the old sheep in the flock - it's just her friends they find a bit strange. Even though they are the best friends in the whole wide world.

The older sheep have long stopped bleating on about Charlotte - on the contrary, they're really proud of their little wild one. But they can't help shaking their heads about her weird friends: Charlotte's playmates include Eduard the pig and Kunibert the bull, and even the chickens on the farm and the ducks on the pond. The old sheep find this outrageous. These are just not acceptable friends for a sheep!

But then two little lambs go missing, and Charly the sheepdog as well. Now it proves a real blessing that Charlotte has these friends - Eduard has a fantastic nose, Kunibert is amazingly strong, and her feathered friends can of course fly, so they can search for the lambs from the sky. In the end, the old sheep learn a thing or two, and probably not for the last time either…
