Wolfgang Kemp, born in 1946 in Frankfurt, is professor of art history at Hamburg University. His previous publications at Hanser: John Ruskin (Leben und Werk. 1819 - 1983), and Vertrauliche Berichte über den Verkauf einer Kommode und andere Kunstgeschichten (2002).
