Rolf Haufs, born 1935 in Düsseldorf, lived in Berlin. He died 2013 in Berlin. He has received, among others, the Bremer Literaturpreis, the Friedrich Hölderlin Award (1990) and the Hans-Erich Nossack Award (1993).
