Robert Scheer

Robert Scheer was born in 1973 in Carei, Rumania, and grew up in a Hungarian-speaking household. He emigrated to Israel in 1985, and, in the wake of an aborted career as a rock musician, went on to study philosophy at Haifa and Tübingen, where he now works as a bookseller and construction worker. The Scent of the Sussita marks his debut as a novelist.
