René Freund

René Freund born in 1967, lives and works as a writer and translator in Grünau in Almtal, Austria. He studied Philosophy, Theatre Studies and Ethnology, and was a dramaturge from 1988 to 1990 at the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna. Book publications include Stadt, Land und danke für das Boot (satire, 2002) and Wechselwirkungen (novel, 2004). His publications by Deuticke are: Liebe unter Fischen (novel, 2013), and his family memoir, Mein Vater, der Deserteur (2014). www.renefreund.net
