Otto A. Böhmer, born 1949, studied philosophy, political sciences and literature. He writes poems, novels, essays and theatre plays and has published several successful non-fiction books for grown-ups. In 1997, Hanser published Sofies Lexikon, a guide to philosophy for young readers.
