Norbert Miller, born in 1937, is Professor Emeritus of comparative literature at Berlin's Technical University. He has edited and published anthologies of the works of Jean Paul, Daniel Defoe and Henry Fielding amongst others, and is co-editor of the Munich edition of the complete works of Goethe. His most recent publication is Der Wanderer (Goethe in Italien, 2002).
