Michael Haneke

Michael Haneke was born in 1942, studied in Vienna and worked first as an editor and television dramaturg at Südwestfunk. He has been acclaimed for his films Die Klavierspielerin, Funny Games and Caché. Both Das weiße Band and Amour earned him the Golden Palm in Cannes, and he also received the Oscar for Best Foreign-Language Film in 2013 for Amour.
