Markus Orths

Markus Orths was born in 1969 and studied philosophy, Romance languages and English in Freiburg. Now he lives in Karlsruhe with his wife and three children. His novels have been translated into sixteen languages, and the novel Das Zimmermädchen was adapted for cinema in 2015. He has also written several radio plays and children’s books. Hanser has published his novels Max and Picknick im Dunkeln.
