Luis Murschetz, born 1936, studied graphic arts in Graz and Rotterdam. In 1967 he started contributing political caricatures to the Süddeutsche Zeitung and later to Die Zeit. Honoured with several awards, most recently the Olaf Gulbransson Preis (1997), he lives - when not driven abroad by wanderlust - in Munich.
