Katja Behrens

Katja Behrens was born 1942 in Berlin and now lives in Darmstadt, Hesse, working as a fulltime writer. A member of German PEN Club, she has been its vice-president since 2007. Behrens has been writing books for adults, young readers and children for many years – in 2009 Hanser published Der kleine Mausche aus Dessau – Moses Mendelssohns Reise nach Berlin im Jahre 1743.
