Jochen Missfeldt

Jochen Missfeldt born in 1941 in Schleswig, saw his home mostly through aircraft windows for twenty years before settling down to study musicology, philosophy and ethnology in Kiel. He has published poems and short stories as well as the novels Solsbüll (1989), Gespiegelter Himmel (2001) and Steilküste (2005). He was awarded the Wilhelm Raabe Prize for Literature in 2002, the Schleswig-Holstein Regional Art Award in 2006, and the Theodor Storm Prize in 2010. The author lives in Northern Frisia.
