Joachim Radkau

Joachim Radkau was born in 1943, and was Professor of Modern History at Bielefeld University until 2009. His publications with Hanser include Das Zeitalter der Nervosität. Deutschland zwischen Bismarck und Hitler (1998), Max Weber. Die Leidenschaft des Denkens (2005), Theodor Heuss (2013) and Geschichte der Zukunft. Prognosen, Visionen, Irrungen in Deutschland von 1945 bis heute (2017). Joachim Radkau lives in Bielefeld. In 2015, he was awarded the Einhard Prize.
