Jens Malte Fischer

Jens Malte Fischer, born 1943, studied German literature, musicology and history and is professor for theatre studies at the University of Munich. He is a regular contributor to the Süddeutsche Zeitung and Merkur and the author of several books, most recently his highly acclaimed biography Gustav Mahler (Zsolnay, 2003).
