Heinz Schlaffer

Heinz Schlaffer, born 1939, lives in Stuttgart where he held a professorship for German literature until 2004. In 2002 Hanser published his much-discussed book on German literature, Die kurze Geschichte der deutschen Literatur. A paperback edition of his book Poesie und Wissen came out in 2005 in Suhrkamp Verlag.
