Hartmut von Hentig, born 1925, is professor emeritus for pedagogics at the University of Bielefeld. Numerous publications in Hanser Verlag, most recently: Fahrten und Gefährten (2000), Wissenschaft (2003), Bewährung (2006) and the first part of his autobiography, describing childhood and adolescence (2007).
