Franz Josef Czernin

Franz Josef Czernin who was born in Vienna in 1952, has published prose, poetry, essays and aphorisms since 1978. His work has been awarded the Heimito von Doderer Literature Prize, the Anton Wildgans Prize, the Georg Trakl Prize, the Austrian State Prize for Literary Criticism and the Ernst Jandl Prize, among others. He has been a member of the German Academy for Language and Literature since 2008. Most recent publications by Hanser are staub. gefässe (collected poems, 2008), zungenenglisch. visionen, varianten (2014) and reisen, auch winterlich (poems, 2019).
