Elisabeth Zöller

Elisabeth Zöller is one of Germany’s best´known and most successful authors of books for children and young readers. Her novel Schwarzer Wolf, Skin (published by Thienemann under the pseudonym Marie Hagemann in 1993) caused a sensation and is still considered the definitive work on the topic. Her book Anna rennt won the Catholic Youth Book Prize, and Anton oder die Zeit des unwerten Lebens won the Gustav Heinemann Peace Prize. Hanser has also published her novels Wir tanzen nicht nach Führers Pfeife (2012), Das Monophon (2013) and Der Krieg ist ein Menschenfresser (2014).
