Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker
Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker, born 1912, is professor emeritus of philosophy. From 1970 to 1980 he was director of the Max-Planck-Institut zur Erforschung der Lebensbedingungen der wissenschaftlich-technischen Welt, which researches living conditions in an increasingly technological society. Major publications in Hanser Verlag include Bewußtseinswandel (1988) Der Mensch in seiner Geschichte (1991), Zeit und Wissen (1992).
