Bernward Gesang was born in 1968, studied philosophy in Bonn and Münster and qualified as a professor in 2000 Düsseldorf, where he took up a professorship in 2006. Since 2009 he has been teaching at the University of Mannheim and leads the philosophy department with a focus on business ethics. His most recent publications include Wirtschaftsethik und Menschenrechte (Business Ethics and Human Rights, UTB, 2016) and Darf ich das oder muss ich sogar? (Piper, 2017).
