Bernhard Pörksen, born 1969, studied German language and literature, journalism and biology und is Professor of Media Studies at the University of Tübingen. He became widely known for his work on scandal research (including Der entfesselte Skandal, together with Hanne Detel) as well as his books co-authored the cyberneticist Heinz von Foerster (Wahrheit ist die Erfindung eines Lügners) and the psychologist Friedemann Schulz von Thun (Kommunikation als Lebenskunst). In 2008 he was awarded “Professor of the Year” for his teaching practice.
