Akiz

Akiz, born in 1969, lives as a director and screenwriter in Berlin. He gained recognition with films including Der Nachtmahr and Das Wilde Leben. His debut novel Der Hund (hanserblau 2020) was also published in France and Italy, spent multiple weeks on the SPIEGEL bestseller list and received the debut prize of lit.Cologne. The Queen of Frogs is based on a film idea that Akiz first had in film school in the early 1990s.
