Adolf Holl, born 1930 in Vienna, lives there as a writer. He studied theology and literature and worked as a teacher and curate until 1973 when he was banned from teaching. In 1976 he was also suspended as a priest. In 2002 Zsolnay published his novel, Briefe an die gottlosen Frauen.
