Joseph Zoderer
Joseph Zoderer was born in Merano, South Tyrol, in 1935 and still lives in the region. He has received international prizes for his writing and was awarded the German Schiller Society's Prize in 2001 and the Hermann-Lenz Award in 2003. Hanser has recently published Das Schildkrötenfest (novel, 1995), Der Schmerz der Gewöhnung (novel, 2002) and Der Himmel über Meran (narratives, 2005).
